Site privacy

About this notice

This notice covers the Heartguard promotional website. You can browse without creating an account, submitting a form or playing a video. This website does not handle game accounts, payments or saved progress.

Heartguard Classic and other services linked here have their own data handling practices. This notice does not describe what happens inside the game.

Information & connections

The website does not send your browsing activity to an analytics service. Some information is still needed to deliver pages, and optional services receive information when you choose to use them.

Page delivery

Your browser sends the hosting service your IP address, requested page or file, and standard connection information such as browser headers. These are used to deliver pages and maintain the service. Our web server does not enable a separate HTTP access log.

Page interactions

Character selections, location selections and animation state stay in the current page’s memory. The website does not record or send these interactions to a tracking service.

Optional videos

Clicking a video loads Google’s YouTube player. Google receives connection and player information, including your IP address, the embedding website’s origin and information about your viewing activity.

Cookies & browser storage

The website code sets no first-party cookies and stores no preferences in persistent browser storage. It uses no advertising identifiers or tracking pixels. Your browser may cache website files to load them faster.

YouTube may use cookies or similar storage after you click a video. You can browse the rest of the website without loading its player.

YouTube & your choices

Trailers and character music videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. This limits how embedded views affect personalization; it does not prevent Google from receiving information or guarantee that the player uses no storage.

No YouTube player or remote thumbnail loads when you arrive. Clicking a trailer or music video loads the player and connects your browser to YouTube. Closing the video removes its player and stops playback. Leaving the page also removes it.

Removing a player cannot erase information already received by Google or storage it has already created. Your browser’s privacy controls can manage that storage. Google’s handling, retention and your available controls are described in its privacy policy.

External services

Following a link to Heartguard Classic, Discord or YouTube takes you to a separate service. Its account, cookie and privacy practices apply.

Data retention

Page selections last only while the current page remains open. The website keeps no persistent visitor profile. Our Caddy web server has no separate HTTP access log. Operational container logs rotate at 10 MB per file, with at most three files per service; they have no fixed retention period in days. Google retains information from its players under its own policy.
